“ I come here a lot for their breakfasts but never for lunch. Finally stopped in with my daughter yesterday. Ordered a BLT on sourdough with fries. Excellent sandwich and the fries were also great. My daughter got the tuna melt and loved it. Service was attentive. We'll be back! ”
“ The staff were amazing; so kind, patient, and helpful. We were able to get a spot amidst a rush, and service was quick and accurate. The food itself was delicious, bursting with flavor and all the right textures in the places one might hope them to be. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, and hope to come again soon! ”
“ My favorite in-town breakfast place! It truly has a "neighborhood" feel to it, and it is a very customer friendly establishment to boot! No one can beat their coffee, and every dish is substantial and flavorful--a cut above your average breakfast place. And the staff is terrific, and they tend to stay long-term. This is my #1 breakfast place, bar none! ”
“ A must go spot when in MSP. Been many years since I’ve been here and the cornbread pancakes are the go-to choice! Albeit they’re smaller than I remember. Wife had the French toast and loved it too! ”
“ Very chill atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazing food. Seriously one of the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. Deliciously crispy hashbrowns. Highly recommend this cafe! ”
“ Fantastic old-school place with great food and efficient, friendly service. I loved the strong Dunn Brothers coffee, fresh-squeezed OJ and plentiful & tasty bacon. Gotta bring my wife here and I may even try to convince my 25 y.o. daughter that old school places can be great too! ”
“ The breakfast food is amazing. We had a variety of eggs (scrambled & fried), Hashbrowns, pancakes and meat. Everything tasted phenomenal! I had pancakes, which were great and buttery with fried eggs, perfect texture, and a slice of ham, which was not too thick, not too thin and had the right consistency as well. Huge recommendation and the price is very good for what you get, I would even say it’s cheap! The ambience is a little vintage and very cool to be in. The area is very cool with a lot of young ppl. ”
“ The Neighborhood Cafe is a very popular breakfast/lunch establishment. I recently took my wife there for her favorite meal (breakfast) on her birthday. We heard good reports about the place. We arrived shortly after they opened to avoid the crowds and were greeted warmly and seated promptly. I ordered the Carnitas Breakfast Burrito. It was a huge plateful, very tasty, and not overly salted as is too-often the case at other establishments (I just add enough hot sauce to bring it to the proper saltiness). The service was great when we went but that was when it was uncrowded. I can't comment on what it would be when busy. The atmosphere was average "old cafe" and some of the booth upholstery could use some repair. Another minor irritant is the sparse street parking combined with the heavy traffic. Overall, an excellent dining experience and I would certainly return to try some of their other tempting offerings. ”
